RAWR

Today was another awesome day. Ben called me up at around two asking if I wanted to see The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I made the snap (and easy) decision that, yeah, I did.

Forty minutes later I was at the theater. I saw it with Ben, Evan, and Gus, and I've got to say, we were all pretty impressed. We're all devotees of the book, and we were pleasantly surprised. We went into it expecting the worst, but it was better than we thought it'd be. It wasn't as good as perhaps it should have been, but there were a few scenes that I kne Douglas Adams would have liked. The factory showroom on Magrathea was probably the best part.

They did dumb down a lot of it, sometimes wholly unnecessarily, and that ticked me off. You can't have everything, though.

When my dad picked me up, I found out he had gone to our local Apple store and picked up a family pack of Tiger. Aw hell yes.

It took slightly under an hour to install and it is freaking awesome. I'm posting this from Dashboard and the widget DashBlog. Tiger is so freaking cool I cannot begin to describe it. I can't, I won't go back to XP. Goddam.

Yesterday's D&D session was also freaking amazing. Holy hell I am having a string of goodness. I hope this doesn't mean I have cancer or something.

I'm thinking it's a book I'll be trying to get a hold of over the summer vacation, so I can read it before... whatever I end up doing in September.

Which I am still hoping will fall somewhere along the lines of being a Punk Rock Princess, loved by the world. Minus the Punk Rock and the Princess part.

Anywhich, heard the Hitchhiker's movie had "that guy" from The Office in it, so I was mostly excited about that. I'm sure that isn't why I should be excited, but hey. I'm learning.

Can't be the idol of many without learning what's cool.

Aw man, you mean you haven't read it yet? Well, at least you intend to get hold of it. I recommend getting something like The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide. I have a leather-bound edition that has served me well.

I totally think you'd be into it, though. So Long and Thanks for All the Fish (the fourth book) is mostly a love story, which is an interesting deviation.

There are no save points when it comes to the ladies, honey.

Cha the fourth was pretty...hmph. Making passionate passionate love in the sky? Gawd, I think he was thinking too hard...But I did end up making a sculpture of it for art class >_<

I liked that scene. I would totally enjoy doing that.

So I picked myself the set of five books for $35 Canadian (which I don't think is too bad a deal), and I'm about to start the first one. Wish me luck.

Let's see... $35 CAD comes out to be... $28.20 USD. I don't think that's a bad deal at all.
