On Saturday I got back from a week in
Stone Harbor with
Quiggy. It was a lot of fun, I had a most enjoyable time. His mom was my eighth grade math teacher, so you'd think it would be pretty weird spending a week with his family, but it wasn't that bizarre. A lot of time has passed since then.
Saturday night I got to see
Robert Randolph and the Family Band playing at Penn's Landing. They played an awesome show. Also playing were the
Drive-By Truckers and
The Black Crowes, neither of whom I had or have any interest in.
On Sunday I went over to Ben's house for a pool party. It was fun. I finally got my
This Is Spinal Tap DVD back from
last year.
On Tuesday I went over to Ben's house again to play D&D with him, Gus, and Quiggy. It was a pretty productive session, but unfortunately Quiggy had not prepared adequately so a fair amount of time was wasted while he tried to think of something for us to do.
In a few minutes I am going to leave my apartment to go spend two weeks in North Carolina (hence the name of this post) with Ben and Gus, which is bound to be awesome. The only sad things are that both Pat and Rachel got back yesterday, which is sucky timing, and I'm going to have to go two weeks without being able to play bass or guitar. Still, those things will be here when I get back. As usual I will probably be moblogging a bit.
